What is an APRN?
An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse (RN) who has completed advanced clinical and didactic education and a master’s or doctoral program. APRNs can diagnose and treat acute as well as chronic conditions. They can prescribe and manage treatments and medications.
What is a PMHNP?
A PMHNP is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with specialty training and board certification in Psychiatry & Mental Health across the lifespan.
Do you accept insurance?
I am not in network with any insurance companies. If you have insurance, you may be eligible for reimbursement depending on your out of network benefits. I can provide you with a superbill (receipt with coding) at your request, to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement with your plan.
How long do appointments last?
Generally, an initial consultation is 90 minutes and follow ups are 25 or 50 minutes. KAP 90-120 minutes
Cancellation, no show or late arrival policy?
No fee if an appointment is cancelled within 24 business hrs of the scheduled time.
There will be a full charge of the scheduled appointment fee for cancellation with less than a 24 hr notice or no shows.
What should I do if there is an emergency?
If you are currently experiencing a psychiatric emergency, call 9-1-1 or to go to your nearest emergency room. You can also call the National Suicide Hotline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
Can I email you?
Email is available solely for scheduling purposes and will not be used to discuss treatment.
Please Note: I will not complete disability/emotional support animal paperwork for new patients that have previously not been established under my care. Controlled substances will only be prescribed if deemed appropriate, there may be a need for additional testing. I do not and will not prescribe long term benzodiazepines. I do not prescribe stimulants. I am seeing patients 17 and older.
